Family Breeding of Belgian Shepherd Groenendael – Passion, Character & Transmission

Located in Zonhoven, at the edge of the natural reserve De Teut, Het Teutse Hof is a family-based Belgian Shepherd Groenendael kennel, founded out of a deep passion for the breed, ethical breeding and respect for the dog.

Our kennel is deliberately small-scale. Each dog lives with us, shares our daily life and is a true member of the family. We focus on quality, balance and character, never on quantity.

A Passion Built Over Time

Our story with the Groenendael did not start yesterday. It is the result of meaningful encounters, foundation dogs, years of learning, observation and transmission.

Het Teutse Hof was born from a profound admiration for:

Tokio is the cornerstone of the breeding programme at Het Teutse Hof.
Elegant, expressive and gifted with an outstanding character, she perfectly embodies the spirit of the Groenendael.

• Multi-Champion (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, International)

• 3rd place at Crufts 2025 (United Kingdom)

• Selected as Sujet Recommandé by the Société Centrale Canine (France)

Xibi Yuki van het Teutse Hof

Born in 2024, Yuki, daughter of Tokio, represents the next generation of Het Teutse Hof.

Despite her young age, she has already achieved:

• Belgian Junior Champion

• Luxembourg Junior Champion

• Belgian Show Champion

• Multiple Best of Breed awards at international shows

• Also selected as Sujet Recommandé in France

Yuki stands out for:

• her exceptional learning ability

• her joy in working

• her gentle, attentive and willing temperament

At Het Teutse Hof, we breed according to clear and uncompromising principles:

We select our families carefully. A puppy from Het Teutse Hof is never simply “sold” — it is entrusted to a family that shares our values.

Puppies & Future Plans

At Het Teutse Hof, litters are rare and carefully planned.
We work exclusively by reservation, following personal contact and mutual understanding.

Each puppy leaves:

• correctly identified

• vaccinated

• well socialised

• with personalised guidance for its new family

A Unique Project: The Children’s Book

Het Teutse Hof is more than a kennel.
It is also a project of education, storytelling and transmission.

In 2026, the children’s book will be published:

“Yuki and Tokio in the Teut – A Journey into the Past”

A book for children aged 8–11, combining:

• adventure

• local history

• the origins of the dog

• the bond between humans and wolves

• a deep love for the Groenendael

👉 Alongside the Dutch version, if demands are sufficient, we could publish the book in English. 
The book reflects the same values as Het Teutse Hof: respect, curiosity, transmission and intergenerational connection.
